Author: Derek Hofbauer | Posted on

Celebrate the dawn of a new day for transit in Central Oregon by joining COIC, CET and partners during our Redmond Transit Hub Ribbon Cutting Event on Thursday, June 21st from 11 am to 12:30 pm at 777 SW Kalama Ave. in Redmond

Passengers in Redmond will soon have a new transit hub to board and transfer between buses, making travel throughout Central Oregon easier and more convenient.

Event activities will commence promptly at 11:30 am on Thursday, June 21st with brief remarks from local officials and funding partners. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place outside, so please dress accordingly. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Catch a ride to the event on a CET bus and leave the driving to us!

CET will provide free bus transportation for event attendees from Bend to the Redmond Hub and back. The bus will leave Hawthorne Station (334 NE Hawthorne Ave.) promptly at 10:30 am on 6/21 and will leave the Redmond Hub at 12:30 pm, returning back to Hawthorne Station at approximately 1 pm.

A CET bus will also pick up event attendees at the existing stop at the RedmondLibrary (827 SW Deschutes Ave.) at 11:15 am and bring them to the Redmond Transit Hub by 11:25 am. Free bus service back to the Redmond Library stop will also be offered after the event has concluded at 12:30 pm.

We hope to see you at our Summer Solstice celebration!

Please RSVP to if you are attending the event and note if you are planning to use the free bus service.

  1. This is a very nice article, but it fails to mention the location of the new stop?

  2. Hi Will – nice catch! I just updated the post. The event and location of the new transit hub in Redmond is 777 SW Kalama, right between the Fred Meyer and Lowes stores.
