A COIC/CET Facilities Committee was formed in December 2020 to discuss current and upcoming projects related to Hawthorne Station in Bend. The role of the committee will evolve over time to include a broader range of COIC/CET’s facilities across our region that meet the needs of our community. The Facilities Committee makes recommendations to CET’s Regional Public Transportation Advisory Committee (RPTAC).
The COIC/CET Facilities Committee is composed of members from the following agencies/entities:
- Bend City Council
- Deschutes County Board of County Commissioners
- Hawthorne Avenue Neighbors
- Adjacent business owners
- Central Oregon Coalition for Access
- Council on Aging
- Oregon Department of Transportation
- Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization
- Commercial Real Estate
- CET Regional Public Transportation Advisory Committee

COIC AND CASCADES EAST TRANSIT FACILITIES COMMITTEE
A facilities committee will assess existing and future property locations and recommend actions based on community needs
Committee Functions
- Provide input on COIC and CET facility needs, including Hawthorne Station and the development of mobility hubs
- Inform future grant funding opportunities
- Make recommendations to the Regional Public Transportation Advisory Committee (RPTAC)
