Bend Mobility Hub Feasibility Study Kicks off January 19!

Author: Derek Hofbauer | Posted on

Mobility hubs support CET’s plans to transition away from its current “hub and spoke” system and provide a more “multicentric” transit system in Bend, which will make it easier and more convenient for community members to utilize public transportation. This study, funded by an ODOT Transportation Growth and Management Program (TGM) grant, will research best practices among peer agencies to inform CET’s efforts to successfully implement mobility hubs in Bend and across our region. The Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will manage the project in coordination with the City of Bend, CET and other partner agencies and organizations. A Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) was formed among stakeholders, partners, and transit riders to review project documents and provide input into the study. TAC meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of each month through July, 2022 from 2:30-4 pm. The first TAC kick-off meeting will be held Wednesday, January 19 from 2:30-3:30 pm. Project materials, agendas, and contact information can be accessed at www.cascadeseasttransit.com/mobilityhubs
