Cascades East Transit is gearing up for major service changes this summer! Extended hours in Bend and new pilot services are coming in June. Other routes will see fare changes and schedule optimization. CET typically has two major service changes per year to realign services and introduce new features. New bus schedules will be posted closer to their effective date.
We are asking community members to ride the bus at least one day during CET’s Try Transit Week June 2-9. You can win up to $500 in grocery store gift cards. swag bags, and other great prizes! CET is hosting themed events all week long in Bend and Redmond to celebrate transit regionwide!
SERVICE CHANGES
Routes 1-11: All Bend fixed routes
Expanded hours in Bend
Bend fixed route buses (Routes 1-11) will operate earlier in the morning and later in the evening starting June 2.
When the new schedule goes into effect, the first buses will depart Hawthorne Station at 6am and the last departure will be at 7pm.
CET is promoting expanded hours in Bend with Try Transit Week June 2-9. Community members are encouraged to ride the bus at least one day and log their trips in the Get There Oregon platform to win grocery store gift cards totaling $500, swag bags, and participate in fun and interactive events throughout the week.
Route 7: Greenwood
Route 7 bus stops closing
The following bus stops on Route 7 will be closing effective June 2:
- Bus stop # 36: Greenwood Ave @ 15th Street (SOUTH side)
- Bus stop # 82: Greenwood Ave @ Purcell Blvd (SOUTH side)
- Bus stop # 43: Greenwood Ave @ Azure Dr (NORTH side)

Route 19: Lava Butte
Service launching June 14
Summer service for Ride the River and Lava Butte launches Saturday, June 14!
Fares increasing
Ride the River is increasing from $4 per day to $5. The Lava Butte shuttle fare is increasing from $3 to $5 per roundtrip. Kids 5 and under ride free at Lava Butte.
Route 18: Transit to Trails
Service launching June 17
The popular Transit to Trails recreational bus begin service on Tuesday, June 17.
Fares increasing
Transit to Trails is increasing from $5 one-way/$9 roundtrip to a flat rate of $10 per roundtrip.
Route 20: Warm Springs - Madras
Route 20 stop changes
The bus will make fewer stops at the Warm Springs Market on each trip. It currently stops 3 times per trip and will begin stopping there only twice per trip.
The following bus stops on Route 20 will be closing effective June 9. Flex stops will still be available at these locations by reservation at 541-385-8680.

Route 24: Redmond - Bend
Schedule changes to improve transfers
Minor changes to the scheduled times will take effect June 9 in order to improve transfer connections to other bus routes.
Route 25: CRR - Redmond
Service model changes to on demand
Route 25 will discontinue scheduled fixed route service and change to an on demand service model beginning the week of June 9. It will operate on Fridays only. Rides may be reserved by calling 541-385-8680.

Routes 5, 6, and 11
Major detours
Constructions detours will close some stops on Routes 5, 6, and 11 and potentially cause delays later this summer. Details to come.
Holidays
4th of July
Recreational services continue to operate on all holidays. All other CET services and offices will be closed on July 4th.
