CET is developing a mobility hub pilot project in Downtown Bend in a parking lot on the east side of Troy Field. Mobility hubs provide more convenient and accessible transportation options and amenities such as bikeshare, shuttles, Uber/Lyft pick up and drop off zones, wayfinding, public art. CET and partners conducted a Mobility Hub Feasibility Study in 2022 set the groundwork for establishing a series of mobility hubs in Bend. A robust community engagement effort from that study provided an opportunity for residents to weigh in on desired mobility hub locations and amenities, which indicated a strong preference for a mobility hub in Downtown Bend. The Downtown Bend Mobility Hub Pilot Project emerged as a key outcome from the feasibility study that would allow CET and partners to test mobility hub concepts that will be implemented in more permanent and future locations. CET continues to conduct outreach to nearby residents and businesses to inform community members about the pilot project. Construction is anticipated in mid-to-late 2024.
