Northeast Bend, Meet Your New Bus Route
Cascades East Transit (CET) is proud to launch Route 8, a new fixed-route bus line serving Northeast Bend starting July 14, 2025.
Over the past year, CET has listened to residents, community partners, property managers, and business owners across Northeast Bend. We’ve heard a clear need: better access to jobs, shopping, schools, and services—without needing to rely on a car.
Route 8 was built in response to this need. Whether you live in Canal Commons, work along Boyd Acres Road, go to school at Sky View Middle or Realms High, or want to enjoy Pine Nursery Park or shop at Cascade Village, this route connects you to where you need to go.
An Express to Cascade Village
Need to get to Cascade Village quickly? Route 8 offers express service from Hawthorne Station to Cascade Village, skipping local stops until it reaches Robal Lane near Target and Trader Joe’s.
This makes it the fastest CET route to Cascade Village, offering a quicker, more direct connection than Route 4.
It’s a great option for shoppers, employees, and anyone wanting easy access to one of Bend’s busiest retail hubs.
Connecting Northeast Bend Like Never Before
Route 8 serves 12 unique stops across Northeast Bend. It connects to schools like Sky View Middle School and Realms High School, and to housing communities like Canal Commons and Empire Village Townhomes.
Major employers such as Les Schwab HQ, Humm Kombucha, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and the Boyd Acres Industrial Park are also along the route, making it a strong commuting option for shift workers and administrative staff alike.
Looking for recreation? Route 8 drops you just an 8-minute walk away from Pine Nursery Park, a local favorite for walking, sports, and summer fun.

Route 8 is a pilot route, which means it’s a test service designed to fill a gap in our system and see how well it serves the community.
