Downtown Bend Mobility Hub Pilot Project

Downtown Bend Mobility Hub Pilot Project

Mobility hubs provide more convenient and accessible transportation options and amenities such as bikeshare, shuttles, Uber/Lyft pick up and drop off zones, wayfinding, public art. CET and partners conducted a Mobility Hub Feasibility Study in 2022 set the groundwork for establishing a series of mobility hubs in Bend. A robust community engagement effort for the study conducted by CET provided an opportunity for community members to weigh in on desired mobility hub locations and amenities. The Downtown Bend Mobility Hub Pilot Project emerged as a key outcome from the feasibility study that would allow CET and partners to test mobility hub concepts that will be implemented in more permanent and future locations.

Based on the feasibility study recommendations, CET is developing a pilot mobility hub in Downtown Bend in a parking lot on the east side of Troy Field. Development of current mobility hub pilot site incorporates low-impact design elements such curb improvements, painting and striping – no permanent structures will be constructed at this site. CET will operate a van or small non-CDL vehicle to serve this hub location approximately once per hour, Monday through Saturday, between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. CET will provide ongoing maintenance and security for the site on a daily basis.

CET continues to conduct outreach to nearby residents and businesses to provide information about the pilot project. Construction is anticipated in mid-to-late 2024. Below a list of recent project milestones, outreach activities, and events:
